On 20th of January, 2020 HEPA Regional Office Canada had a successful meeting with representatives of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), the

Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto, the Hungarian SeaMaster and the Canadian TC Foods companies.

The participants discussed building and strengthening economic ties between the two countries, overcoming emerging barriers, and promising investment opportunities in Ontario and available investment incentive programs.

Sándor Balla, managing director of HEPA Regional Office Canada, assured Hungarian companies planning to invest in Ontario of his support. Ernie Hardeman, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Bill Harvie, Krstev Jackie, Tara Barry and Garrett Hein represented OMAFRA in the meeting. Representing the Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto, Consul General Valér Palkovits and Máté Árpád Igaz Deputy Head of Mission, Economic and Trade Attaché assured the participants about the support of the Hungarian state.
