Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and World Meeting was held by V4 Countries. The purpose of the event was to raise public awareness, especially for young people, about adverse environmental, social and economic processes, and to show that these negative changes, which overshadow the future of humanity, can still be reversed.
Planet Budapest presented a number of professional exhibitors from the V4 Countries for a week, who can help the sustainability turnaround with their technological developments, innovative products and services. In addition, through spectacular, entertaining and informative programs, visitors have been given a comprehensive picture of nature, our way of life and the processes around us, offering tangible solutions for sustainable everyday life.
As co-organizer of the exhibition and professional programs, HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency also played a major role in the creation of this event. Visitors could also get information about the services provided by HEPA’s Canadian Partner Office in person.
Sándor Balla, the Executive Director of the Canadian office, personally attended the event and presented the Canadian relation and the economic, environmental and social characteristics of the experience in Canada, as well as how the leading companies in Hungarian sustainability can play a role in the country.
Sándor Balla, the Executive Director of the Canadian office also consulted at the event with István Jakab, Vice – President of the Hungarian Parliament, and Burak Aktas, Executive Director of HEPA’s Istanbul office.
A Planet Budapest 2021 Fenntarthatósági Expó és Világtalálkozó a visegrádi országok közös fenntartható fejlődéssel foglalkozó rendezvénye. Az esemény kifejezetten azzal a céllal került megrendezésre, hogy felhívja a közönség, különösen a fiatalok figyelmét a kedvezőtlen környezeti, társadalmi és gazdasági folyamatokra, illetve bemutassa, hogy ezek a negatív, az emberiség jövőjét beárnyékoló változások még visszafordíthatók.
A Planet Budapest egy héten keresztül számos szakmai kiállítót mutatott be a visegrádi országokból, akik technológiai fejlesztéseikkel, innovatív termékeikkel és szolgáltatásaikkal segíthetik elő a fenntarthatósági fordulatot. Mindemellett a kilátogatók látványos, szórakoztató és informatív programok keresztül, átfogó képet kaptak a természetről, életmódunkról, a minket körülvevő folyamatokról, kézzelfogható megoldásokat kínálva a fenntartható hétköznapokhoz.
A kiállítás és szakmai programok társszervezőjeként a HEPA Magyar Exportfejlesztési Ügynökség is komoly szerepet vállalt abban, hogy ez a nívós esemény létrejöhessen. A kilátogatók személyesen ismerkedhettek meg a HEPA Kanadai Partnerirodája által nyújtott szolgáltatásokkal is. Balla Sándor, az iroda vezetője személyesen vett részt az eseményen és mutatta be a Kanadai relációt és a Kanadában tapasztalat gazdasági, környezeti és társadalmi sajátosságokat, illetve azt, hogy hogyan tudnak a magyar fenntarthatóságban élenjáró cégek szerepet vállalni az országban.
Balla Sándor a rendezvényen egyeztetett Jakab Istvánnal, a Magyar Országgyűlés alelnökével, valamint a HEPA Isztambuli irodájának ügyvezető igazgatójával, Burak Aktassal is.
