A Game-Changer in Urban Design and Sustainability
Kuube specializes in innovative, solar-powered smart furniture designed to enhance urban spaces, public parks, and commercial developments. These high-tech solutions seamlessly blend modern design with functionality, offering wireless charging, Wi-Fi hotspots, and sustainable energy features tailored for smart cities. With a strong presence in numerous countries, Kuube’s expansion into North America marks a major step in bringing sustainable urban solutions to a wider audience.
Founded in 2020, Kuube Hungary quickly gained international recognition, operating from Graphisoft Park in Budapest, with servicing handled from Budakalász and production based in Komárom. Manufacturing is carried out at Foxconn’s Hungarian plant, the world’s largest electronics contract manufacturer, known for producing iPhones and Nintendos. With production entirely based in Hungary, Kuube products proudly bear the “Made in Hungary” label.
HEPA Regional Office Canada: Facilitating International Growth
This landmark agreement was made possible through the efforts of HEPA Regional Office Canada, which played a pivotal role in securing a strong distribution partnership. Discussions began in 2023, with the Canadian office making Kuube’s smart products a top priority for entry into both the U.S. and Canadian markets. The first order, valued at HUF 130 million (€330,000), has already been placed by Life Living Corporation, ensuring an immediate operational launch.
Strategic Partnership Strengthening Hungarian Exports
The agreement was officially signed on March 4, 2025, at HEPA’s Budapest headquarters by:
- Máté Gallai, CEO of Kuube Hungary Kft.
- Giuseppe Corapi, CEO of Life Living Corporation
The signing ceremony was attended by key industry leaders, including Gábor Jenei, CEO of HEPA, and Sándor Balla, Director of HEPA Regional Office Canada, emphasizing the strategic importance of this partnership in strengthening Hungarian exports.
Next Steps: Kuube Smart Benches Entering Canadian Market
To further explore the market potential, Sándor Balla, Executive Director of HEPA Regional Office Canada, and Giuseppe Corapi, CEO of Life Living Corporation, recently visited Foxconn in Komárom, where Kuube smart benches are being produced. Discussions with Máté Gallai, CEO of Kuube Hungary Kft., and Balázs Csutora, Canadian relations expert at HEPA, focused on strategies for successfully introducing these sustainable solutions into Canada.
Beyond everyday users, targeted outreach has focused on real estate firms, construction companies, and municipal decision-makers, ensuring that Kuube’s smart benches gain traction across urban development and infrastructure projects.
Upcoming Showcase at HungaroFest 2025
Kuube’s smart benches will be featured at HungaroFest 2025, a flagship Hungarian cultural and trade event in Canada. The fourth edition of the festival will take place on June 15, 2025, in Toronto, organized by HEPA’s Canadian office with support from HEPA’s central headquarters.
The festival will offer visitors an immersive experience of Hungarian culture, traditions, and gastronomy. Last year’s HungaroFest took place in one of Toronto’s main square, drawing an impressive crowd of over 100,000 visitors. The event provided Hungarian companies with an unparalleled opportunity for brand exposure, and Kuube’s presence this year is expected to bring significant marketing value.
As global interest in smart and eco-friendly urban infrastructure grows, Kuube’s expansion into North America is a testament to Hungary’s innovation and technological expertise.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey as Kuube smart benches start making their way into Canadian cities!
