HEPA Regional Office Canada at MedTech 2024: A Proud Showcase of Hungarian Innovation in Healthcare

We were honored to participate in MedTech 2024 as part of the Hungarian booth, organized in collaboration with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, HEPA Regional Office Canada, and the Consulate General of Hungary in Toronto (Magyarország Torontói Főkonzulátusa). This event provided us with the opportunity to showcase the innovations of three pioneering Hungarian companies shaping the future of healthcare.

We were proud to introduce three innovative Hungarian companies at the event:

  • 77 Elektronika Ltd. captured attention with its advanced diagnostic solutions, particularly their automated urine analyzers.
  • FEMTONICS showcased its multiphoton microscopes for real-time, in vivo 3D imaging, revolutionizing neuroscientific research.
  • Hand-in-Scan™ impressed attendees with its AI-powered Hand Hygiene Training System, a cutting-edge tool designed to support infection control.

MedTech 2024 drew over 4,350 attendees from 48 countries, with 40% representing the C-suite. This international event served as a vital platform for us to connect with leaders and innovators within the global medical technology community. With over 1,900 companies, sponsors, and exhibitors, the event proved to be a remarkable platform for connecting with the global medical technology community. The networking opportunities, engaging discussions, and shared insights made this gathering invaluable for advancing healthcare innovation.

During the event:

• We met with prominent consulting partners who provided valuable information on the services they offer to Hungarian medical companies aiming to enter the North American market.
• We had insightful discussions with local government and investment promotion officials, as well as NGO leaders, on local legislation, subsidies, grants, and other opportunities that could assist Hungarian companies in doing business in Canada

We were privileged to have key representatives present at the official opening of our booth, including:

Following the MedTech Conference, a special networking dinner organized by the HEPA Regional Office Canada provided an valuable setting for 77 Elektronika, FEMTONICS, and Hand-in-Scan™ to engage in professional discussions with local experts, including leading hospital specialists and medical device distributors. Attendees enjoyed an authentic Hungarian culinary experience, complete with a selection of fine Hungarian wines, adding a unique cultural element to the evening.
