The evening was opened by Sándor Balla, President of the Hungarian Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Hungarian Canadian Business Association, and Dr. Gábor Artner, Deputy CEO of the HEPA Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, who welcomed guests and highlighted the enduring relevance of freedom as a shared responsibility.
Speeches were also delivered by Brad Bradford, Toronto City Councillor; Michael Tibollo, Associate Attorney General of Ontario; Rudy Cuzzetto, MPP and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Mines; and Dr. János Jákó, Consul General of Hungary in Toronto, offering reflections on the historic significance of the national holiday and the important role of the Hungarian community in Canada.
